In June/July 2006 I travelled to South Africa with a group of teachers, librarians, and college professors. One member of the group, Steve Spencer, wrote a poem based on thoughts, phrases and snippets of text contributed by the group, to honour our excellent Cape Town guide, Alan Peterson.

In July 2006 I took a letterpress workshop at Emily Carr and this poem
was the first thing that came to mind as a potential project. The
book was printed as a limited edition of 10 on a treadled platen
job press - definitely a workout!
