It's February 25, 2007, and yesterday I took possession of my
new condo in Langley, just 30 minutes west of Abbotsford, where
I've been renting until now, and where I work most days. Real
estate's a little pricier here in the lower mainland of B.C., so
I wasn't able to afford a house, but this works out even better -
no yardwork, and plenty of features to make me drool:
1,380 sq. ft.
two levels
two bedrooms
one-and-a-half baths
open floor plan
dining nook in the kitchen
red powder room
crown moulding throughout
tons of storage
upstairs laundry room
plenty of natural light
only one wall shared with the neighbour
And now, imagine bamboo floors in a rich brown with honey
tones throughout the dining and living room areas, light-coloured
walls and white trim, stainless steel appliances and silver drawer
and cabinet pulls in the kitchen, accented by new counters and a
rich colour on the floor (perhaps even red!). The bamboo floors
will be a reality (hopefully) before I move in at the end of
March, as will the appliances. Everything else will be a work in
progress. Good thing I have lots of time off in the summer.
